Hotel Description

The Hotel Rila is modern, white-fronted building situated in a green area of Budapest, three metro stops and five kilometres from the city centre. This three-floor hotel features 30 guestrooms with light contemporary decor, polished hardwood parquet floors, blue fabrics, and modern pine furniture. All include bathrooms with showers, daily housekeeping and telephones.
The Carevec restaurant is housed in a traditional Hungarian dining area, with unique woodcarvings and exposed brick walls, and offers a selection of international dishes and Hungarian specialities. Guests can visit the Beer House and enjoy a pitcher of local ale on the outdoor terrace or a bottle of wine in the atmospheric cellar bar. Multilingual staff at the 24-hour front desk can offer tourist information, book boat trips and walking tours, and arrange taxis or airport transfers. The hotel offers a free bus service from Keleti railway station and complimentary maps of Budapest are available from reception. Other services available include laundry facilities, television rental, car hire, and luggage and bicycle storage. The hotel houses a conference hall able to accommodate 300 people and seminar rooms seating up to 80 people. An airport minibus service to any address in Budapest is available - to order this service, go to the airport minibus service in the arrivals hall. This service costs approximately 2,100 Hungarian Forints per person. The journey takes 20 minutes. A pre-pay local bus (93) travels from the airport to the underground metro terminus, Köbánya-Kispest, although passengers may wish to alight at Deák tér where the three underground lines meet. Taxis are available from the airport at the taxi stand, but their fares can be unregulated; passengers should negotiate a fare before leaving the airport. Budapest has an inexpensive and efficient public transport system with easy links between the metro, HEV trains, buses, trams and trolleybuses. Tickets can be bought from metro stations, kiosks and newsstands. Driving directions: From the airport, take the E60 towards the centre of Budapest. Exit from the Budapest X kerület and get onto the Budapest IX kerület, carry on the 4 until Ülloi Út, then turn left onto the Haller Utca. Turn left onto the Balázs Béla Utca, turn right onto Fehér Holló Utca where the hotel is located.
